We went to Iowa for Thanksgiving, and knowing we were coming........they brought out the pie!! :) 3 pumpkin pies, pecan, raspberry and apple to be exact.
We went to visit Dave's nephew; Brian and his wife Olivia and their two girls; Nadia and Nika, (they also have a baby on the way....due in May), in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Many of Dave's other relatives made the trip as well, Mike and Mary Ellen all the way from South Carolina. There were over 20 of us there and we had wonderful food, lots of laughs and a great time. Looking forward to doing it again next year!
The weather was perfect and the drive was real nice. Much of the drive goes thru Amish country and although we seen some, I was never prepared with my camera to get a photo. I told Dave I was going to put a photo on the blog that I took last summer when we were in the same place; never mind the green grass, leaves on the trees, and this time they were in covered buggies with coats and gloves (really not the same experience at all except they were Amish) :)
We stayed at a nice "pet friendly" hotel and Theodore and Winston had a great trip as well.Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving!
